Morgan & Braylen's Arkansas Elopement
April 28th was such a joyful day! I had the privilege of witnessing a wedding that felt particularly special. Morgan, a young man I've known since he was practically the same age as my kids are now (let's just say it makes me feel both blessed and a touch old!), was tying the knot with his love, Braylen.
Originally, the plan was for a beautiful elopement at Heritage Hill Farm, my farm in Lutherville Arkansas. But the fickle spring weather in Arkansas had other plans and gave us a few days of storms instead so everything was muddy and plans had to change. Sometimes, though, plan changes can lead to an even more perfect outcome, and that's exactly what happened for Morgan and Braylen.
Their intimate ceremony ended up taking place in a place steeped in even deeper meaning – Morgan's childhood church in Hagarville. Surrounded by their parents and siblings, the officiant, videographers, and myself, they vowed before God to love each other and put Him first . This wasn't just a wedding; it was a celebration of a life and a love story that God brought together. It's these kinds of weddings that just feed my soul!
A couple weeks later, Morgan and Braylen threw a reception in Conway for their close circle of friends and family. The atmosphere was pure, joyful celebration. The couple shared their wedding video, creating a chance for everyone to experience the beautiful ceremony. They mingled with their guests, enjoying delicious finger foods and cake. This day was just such a fun time of celebration.
I also loved all the personal touches within this wedding. From the adorable matching tennis shoes they wore instead of traditional wedding footwear, to the unique wooden flowers in Braylen's bouquet and on the tables, to the sweet matching tattoos they had gotten – each detail was so them!
Morgan and Braylen's wedding wasn't about grand gestures or a huge guest list. It was about celebrating their love story in a way that felt authentic and meaningful to them. And in that sense, it was a truly perfect day. Congratulations, Morgan and Braylen! May your love continue to blossom and flourish,and may you always trust God and put Him first <3
